Pontetorto accelerates on environmental best practices and obtains ISO14001 certification.

From energy supply and water treatment to the choice of natural fibers and the fabric.

The Prato-based company, which has been active in the production of fashion and sports fabrics since 1952, has fine-tuned an ambitious project involving every single production process to achieve ISO14001 certification today. An internationally recognized standard as a reference for environmental management systems to support environmental protection, pollution prevention and reduction of energy and resource consumption.

This standard is internationally recognized as a reference for environmental management systems in favor of environmental protection, attention to the consumption of renewable resources and the management of waste and atmospheric emissions.

“Elevating our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) set-up is the central goal of our business philosophy,” stresses Jinro Nomura, President of Pontetorto, “because, beyond the marketing liturgy, we want to make our contribution to a cultural change, in defense of the environment and protection of the well-being of our employees so much so that corporate welfare is linked in a double way both to business results and to the quality of our textiles. The ISO 14001 environmental certification demonstrates our ongoing commitment to environmental performance by controlling the production process according to eco-friendly parameters, seeking innovations and high-quality products with the help of our customers, distributors and suppliers.”
